DC Model 6 092911

I would like to introduce Agnes, a 33 inch scale, 24 fret, Model 6 bass that was completed in October of 2011. This is the first Mk6 model to be completed in my shop and it is only fitting that she was purchased by a great local player who plays her on stage almost every weekend. I can’t wait to see her in action.
Her features start with a quarter sawn single piece Jatoba neck with an Ebony fret board and Lacewood peghead veneers front and back. Behind her Ebony truss rod cover she has a dual action truss rod and 2 carbon fiber bars that run the length of her neck giving her great stablility. Her position markers are abalone as well as her D logo.
Her body is made of a fine Mahogany that is rich in color and grain, topped with a nicely figured Lacewood top. There is a Macassar Ebony pinstripe sandwiched between the back and the topwood. On the back she has a Mahogany electronics cavity cover and a contoured heel joint for comfort when playing up high.
Her electronics are EMG P4 in the neck position and a J4 in the bridge position. She has a 9 volt circut (9volt battery included) and is wired with vol 1, active blend (EMG ABC), EMG BTC EQ.
Her hardware is Hipshot brand Ultra-Lite tuners and a Hipshot A style bridge that is configured with a string through the body feature. She has Dunlop straploks and EMG control knobs.
Her tone is just incredible and her feel is solid and sleek. Her neck is 1.5 inches across at the nut and 2.5 inches at her 24th fret. She weighs in at 8.25 pounds.
THIS BASS HAS BEEN SOLD but I can make another on one like it with features of your choice. Contact me at drakecustom@live.com for pricing and options.
