This is one of the coolest medium scale basses I have built over the years.  Her owner originally ordered her with a Wenge on Wenge neck but he did not like the tone so much so he sent her back to me early in 2014 to have a new Maple neck made for her.  This is how she looks now.

The neck on her is curly European Maple with a 24 fret (plus zero fret), 32 inch scale Rosewood fret board,  abalone shell diamond inlays, and matched Burled Madrone peghead veneer facings.  She has a dual action truss rod with two carbon fiber stab bars to keep the neck stable.  The set style neck is glued into a body made with a chambered Alder wood core faced on the front and back by highly figured Burled Madrone wood.  In between layers of the body are Walnut accent lines.

The electronics consist of Bartolini M34 classic humbuckers wired passive with just a volume, volume, tone configuration.  The tone is punchy, warm, and not clacky at all.  Very quiet operation.  Great for classic rock and many modern styles of music.

Hipshot A style bridge, Ultra-Lite tuners, and Dunlop strap locks round out the hardware.

This bass is finished in a Honey Amber tinted urethane finish.
