Figgy 070409

This is one of my favorite medium scale basses of all time. I completed her on the 4th of July in 2009. She was sold to a customer out in California and just recently came back as a trade in for a custom fretless. She had some war wounds and had been played a ton but was well cared for and still had her magic. I was going to keep her as my main bass but another customer saw her and just had to have her. I decided to let her go and we made a deal. The customer wanted some updates and to have my logo put on her as she predated when I started to logo my instruments. Here are some pictures of how she looks now.
Her features are: One piece Curly Maple neck with a Curly Maple 32 inch scale, 26 fret, fretboard. Her veneers are both figured Walnut front and back. Her body has Curly Maple as a core that has been chambered.  Since every piece of wood in this bass is figured I had named her Figgy. She sports Active EMG Jazz 3.0  pickups with a 2 band BTC EQ, new Hipshot hardware all around, and she has had a face lift with a refinish with hand rubbed varnish.

A great bass that not only sounds amazing but is light in weight and easy to play. She now will get to see plenty of stage time with a blues band located here in central Iowa.  You can hear this bass on a recording by the Steve E George band.  Just hit play below.
