Alice 011013

This is Alice, a great example of my Model 6 design.  She has a 33 inch scale quarter sawn Hard Maple neck with a richly colored 24 fret Rosewood fret board (plus the zero fret which is of stainless steel).  Inside her neck she has a dual action truss rod and 2 carbon fiber stabilization rods that run from her nut to the heel.   The peghead is laminated with Spalted Maple facings and Walnut pin striping.

Her body is chambered Mahogany for her core and Spalted Maple front and back.  There is pinstripes of Walnut between the core wood and the facings.  Both body and neck are finished with catalyzed urethane over oil.

The hardware on Alice is Hipshot’s B style bridge with the string through feature.  The tuners are Hipshot Ultra-lites and Dunlop straplocks round out her equipment.

Alice’s new owner selected EMG 35P and 35J pickups along with a EMG BTC preamp to boost or cut bass and treble as needed.  This bass has an amazing growl to her tone that really cuts through in the mix.

Her nut is 1.5 inches wide and she is 2.5 inches wide at the 24th fret.  This bass weighs under 9 pounds.
