6 Day Bass 051909

The 6 Day Bass got its’ name as it took six days from start to finish to make this bass. This build was a challenge to see how quickly I could make an instrument for a birthday present. The only requirements were that it was a left-handed bass, 4-stringed, and stayed within a limited budget. This is what I came up with. The bass has a Sapele body that has been chambered (the back was sliced off and glued back on after chambering), Hard-Rock Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, and Sapele peghead veneers. This was fun to build and was the first lefty of my career.
